3-step
scoring system for blockchain startups
which allows you to find successful projects at an early stage with an accuracy of 9 out of 10
What is scoring?
Advanced scoring models evaluate the project by dozens of indicators, assigning points to the project depending on the results. The higher the score of the project, the higher the priority for the investor to consider the project.
Scoring is an analyticаl tool for blockchain projects. Its main goal - sift out and prioritize projects that come to the investor’s attention.
How do we analyze projects?
The Afford.Capital model comprises
3 key steps in project analysis. These 3 key steps are divided into dozens of iterations and actions, but for a general understanding, we will describe the work algorithm in its larger stages.
The main task for the investor
At this stage is to find projects that they will then analyze. From our experience of talking with investors of different levels, we found out that finding worthy projects is one of the key problems. The challenge is that in the early stages only a narrow circle of those close to potentially successful projects can enter them.
Step 1. Project search
How Afford Capital finds projects for selection
Paid and free. We constantly update the fund's tools, developing and testing all new tools. As a result, we always have up-to-date databases in service which are expanded with new projects.
Databases
Key employees and shareholders of the fund constantly stay in touch with other crypto-world members, making it possible to receive important tips and secrets first-hand. We brief all the projects we hear about and submit the results of the briefing straight to the scoring algorithm.
Networking
Direct inflow of projects to the fund. As the media coverage of the fund grows, projects themselves find us and submit applications for evaluation. Over time, the inflow of such organic applications only increases. This allows the fund investors to receive the best offers and enter the most promising projects even before they go public.

After the projects are selected, the analysis begins.
First of all, a general overview is made: what the project is about, what value it brings to today's reality, how relevant it is. Already at this stage we can see the potential. Next, we analyze the figures.
Step 2. Key indicators
The scoring model has 220+ evaluation indicators.

Where do we get the above data from?
Every startup that is interested in investing makes all this data public. You can easily find some of the indicators in analytics services, and some will be found in the mandatory set of startup documents, such as Whitepaper.

We talk about analytics services further on.
How do we analyze a project if there is not enough experience or competencies? Support services can help you here. We are ready to share a few services from our tokenomist’s toolkit:

Standard key documents
Apart from analytics indicators, you have to analyze the list of startup documents. We have formed a consolidated list of required documents so that it would be easier for you to make sure that the project is reliable.

Some documents on the list can be combined into one, but one way or another, the project must provide information contained in them to investors / funds::

put them into practice. Try to analyze projects using different services, get to know the functionality and come back to this guide to learn new tools. But remember: by filtering projects only by scoring points, you risk missing out on a really promising startup at an early stage.
The answer is simple:
That is why we recommend relying on scoring as a prioritization tool - let it prioritize projects without discarding them
Consider scoring your tool, approaching it consciously and with an understanding of how to use it as effectively as possible.
